Workflow BPM Portal

The WorkflowGen workflow portal is web based and fully customized depending on the user profile. In a single view the users can launch new requests and monitor the status of their workflows. The workflow portal can also be integrated into an existing corporate portal through built-in portlets.

Audit Trail

The users can access the portal at any time to check the status of their requests via a comprehensive real-time audit trail. They also receive fully customized emails advising them of: actions assigned to them, actions they are requested to assign, requests that have been closed, actions overdue or cancelled.

Web Form

Users perform their actions via powerful Web Forms. The workflow data is displayed based on the user profile and the workflow stage. The form fields are dynamic and can be populated in real-time by third party applications like ERPs. Users are guided through what they can and must do to complete their actions with controls and intuitive ergonomics to facilitate the handling of the application and change management.

Comments

This communication facility enables the workflow participants to share ideas to facilitate the completion of a process. The comments are available at the request level and also at the portal level enabling the users to quickly check the latest comments associated to all the processes they are handling. The comments are also available as a RSS feed that can be subscribed to with any RSS reader.

Quick View

In the "Quick view" mode, users can switch to click from one form to another and see precisely the status of their requests, perform their actions by minimizing the number of clicks and enjoying an advanced navigation and intituive through a single viewing window.

Delegations

The participants in a workflow can delegate for each workflow their actions to other participants for a specific period of time (e.g. when leaving the office for vacation).

Statistics and Reports

The built-in dashboards provide supervisors with real time detailed graphical views of on-going and closed workflows (total number of on-going processes, most used process by a given user, delayed actions, average processing time, …). Customized reports can also be created with any third party reporting tool.

Administration Module

The WorkflowGen BPM / Workflow software offers a full-web based tool to design workflows and manage users. Administrators can finely manage the users and groups participating in the process, possibly synchronizing information with existing directories (Active Directory, LDAP…).

Graphical Process Definition

The WorkflowGen BPM / Workflow software enables the administrators to graphically design and implement the workflows. WorkflowGen supports human and system based workflows with the integration of Web Services without programming.

Built-in Web Form Designer

WorkflowGen integrates a built-in Web Form Designer. The Form Designer enables non-developers to easily create professional looking Web Forms. It is based on HTML and Javascript technologies and requires no plug-ins or additional software. If you need to add more advanced features, the Form Designer generates on the fly .Net Web Forms that can be directly edited by developers in MS Visual Studio.

Interactive Workflow View

The interactive workflow view enables you to visually define the behavior of the form based on each action. This is the most intuitive way to create form based processes.

SDK

WorkflowGen comes with a Development Kit, allowing plugging of the workflow engine on virtually any external systems. The WorkflowGen BPM / Workflow software development kit provides you with a set of API to integrate processes with your existing IT systems in a full SOA approach.
WorkflowGen relies on Web Services (SOAP and XML/HTTP) to connect your processes with other systems and Line Of Business (LOB) applications.

Portlet

WorkflowGen can leverage existing corporate portals by integrating into them thanks to built-in portlets. These way users have direct access to their on-going requests, new requests, actions to do, etc...

Web Service API

The WorkflowGen portal features are available via a Web Service API. It is possible to access requests and actions data and statuses from 3rd party applications via web services in real time. The contents of the WorkflowGen portal are available as RSS feeds. Users are able to
syndicate/register these feeds in any Web Portal solution or any RSS compliant tool like Outlook 2007.
