Bidirectional integration allows visibility into Interwoven's document repository from within a workflow application, allowing users to search and attach documents directly from the repository.

The WorkflowGen End User Module can be embedded with the WorkSite Web or SharePoint environment to provide users with easy access to launch new processes or manage ongoing processes and actions todo.

Additionally processes can be called directly from a URL allowing highly customized portal environments to display specific WorkflowGen processes within link lists.

Key features
- Data captured throughout the course of a workflow can be mapped and filed as metadata against documents within the repository.
- Existing document metadata can be updated dynamically, allowing a document’s status to be changed as it passes through each approval action.
- Documents uploaded as part of a workflow process can be filed to a "library > workspace > folder structure" as defined within a workflow definition.
- Workflow forms and data used during a process can be "packaged" (i.e. converted to PDF), filed and related to the relevant documents stored within the repository.
- The detail of the workflow process launched against a document, including the unique process id, is recorded within the history for that document in WorkSite. WorkflowGen maintains a complete history of every action performed during a workflow process.
